When not out fighting the evils of boredom I am a mild-mannered stay-at-home dad (by choice) with a bachelor’s degree in education. Circumstances made it possible for me to stay home and raise and educate my children instead of paying someone else to do it for us. Yes, my oldest son “A” goes to a public school that we love very much. His younger brother “N” was going to a babysitter while my wife and I worked. He was not getting the structure and preparation that we felt “A” received before going to pre-K.
I am a nerd at heart. My wife says that I am a kid stuck in an adults body. I am sarcastic and passive-aggressive. I love Lego, Disney, sci-fi (read Star Wars), cooking, food, board games, video games, movies, good books, bad books, anything my kids love. I am easily entertained and easily bored.
I hate fitting in. I got my first earring when I was 12 (back when boys didn’t get earrings). I got my first tattoo (of the Lion King) my senior year in high school (before everyone and their grandmother had tattoos). I got my tongue pierced when I was 21 and removed when I was 28. My first son was born when I was 31.
I am me.
